RISE UP, the Rape Incest Survivor Empowerment United Project, believes in a community where every individual is free from sexual violence.
Sadly, sexual violence and assault are all too common, leading many people to live in fear or endure lifelong trauma. Social work professionals are crucial in helping to prevent, identify, and address sexual violence, helping to shape the future of their communities and make them safer.
This scholarship, named in honor of our Founder's mother, seeks to support students who are pursuing careers in fields related to social work and striving to make a difference.
Any high school, undergraduate, or graduate student who is a Missouri resident pursuing social work or a related field may apply for this scholarship opportunity. First-generation students, underrepresented minorities, and single parents are strongly encouraged to apply.
To apply, tell us about yourself, how you plan to make a difference through your social work career, why you’re passionate about social work, and how you’re working to address sexual violence.
The deadline to apply is January 18, 2026. Winners announced February 18, 2026
